Do you have one of those odd walls in your home – a sizeable space that you’re not sure what to do with? Most people think of hanging just one large picture or mirror, but a larger wall space demands a larger wallscape. With the large wall space in this sunroom we decided to start with a collection of pictures and frames that complement each other. A wonderful collection of green majolica also compliments the garden theme. Try to include more than one element into your wallscape like painted trays or mirrors, wooden wall brackets, a collection of transferware plates and platters, or even a collection of antlers. With all of these elements it is important to remember, never start on the wall, but lay out your arrangement on the floor or table and play with them until they feel right. Or copy the measurements of each object onto brown paper, cut them out and tape them to the wall to see how everything will fit. If you are starting with a larger painting it is ok to offset it a little and work around it.
